Sustainable Connexions International
SusCo provides creative interventions to ensure orphans and other vulnerable children survive, thrive and excel.
Our programs create opportunities for young people to learn, build confidence, develop leadership skills and connect across communities and cultures.
Sustainable Connexions works with local partners and communities to create culturally grounded experiences for children and youth. Our programming includes Through the Eyes of Youth and Read, Feed and Lead.
Through the Eyes of Youth (TTEOY) empowers young people in Ghana and the U.S. to connect, learn and share aspects of their worlds through photography and video. Participants explore cultural similarities and differences, learn about American and Ghanaian leaders, build photography and video skills, and take part in community service as part of their development as young global leaders.
Read, Feed and Lead is a three-hour program operating in eight-week cycles. Children participate in competency-based activities designed to strengthen reading, math, communication, life skills and critical thinking.
Each child who attends receives a meal, snacks and learning materials—bringing learning and practical support together in one experience.
Donate to This InitiativeYouth programming creates opportunities for learning, leadership, storytelling and meaningful engagement in the local community.
Programming is carried out with local leadership and community partners, creating experiences grounded in the needs and context of the communities served.
Cross-cultural connection is woven into SusCo's work—most visibly through TTEOY, where young people in the U.S. and Ghana learn from one another and share perspectives across cultures.
